This piece begins in a conventional soundworld, and 'travels' to an alternate one, using sounds that come from ancient Byzantine / Turkish scales, and from a similar sensibility to the one that created Islamic geometry. I've tried to get something new out of these source materials, but I feel in a strange way as if I'm working in the deep past. They can be a bit "ear-bending" at first but if you listen a few times it makes more and more sense.

Duration: 12-14:00
