Text: From Psalms 71 and 145:4
(adapted by Robin Muir-Miller with input from Robin McClellan)

In you, Lord, do I put my trust:
let me never be put to confusion.
Incline your ear to me, and protect me,
for you are my rock and my fortress.

You are my trust from my youth.
You brought me out of my mother’s womb.
Do not cast me off in my time of old age,
Do not forsake me when my vigor fails.

You have shown me bitter troubles,
Yet you revive me, and raise me from the depths.
You strengthen my worthiness, and comfort me on every side.

O God who has taught me from my youth,
even when I am old and grey, do not desert me
Until I have told your glory and strength
to this generation, and every one to come.

One generation will praise your works
to another, and will declare your mighty acts.

Our lips shall rejoice as we sing to you;
Our souls, which you redeem, rejoice.
Our tongues will talk of your goodness and
We will tell of your glory, all the day long.
